Mr. Meaty is a teen sitcom created by Jamie Shannon and Jason Hopley. The show centers on two lazy teenage boys, Josh Redgrove and Parker Dinkleman, who work at a fast food restaurant called Mr. Meaty inside a shopping mall as they often encounter supernatural and bizarre situations.

Edward Roger Carney (nicknamed Mr. Meaty) is the main antagonist and founder of the Mr. Meaty restaurant named after him. An old-timey businessman and a vicious boss amongst Josh, Parker, and Mr. Wink, the workers of Mr. Meaty. Edward R. Carney is well over 100 years old. He has bluer/grayish skin, bald, green eyes, and yellow/blueish teeth. Mr. Carney wears simple town 1900s black and white.

Mr. Meaty originally began as a series of animated shorts that lasted two seasons and was the forerunner of the series currently being broadcast on CBC Television in Canada and Nickelodeon in the United States. The first short episode shown, a pilot called Little Green Men, premiered on 14 December 2002.

Mr. Meaty began life as a series of three-minute shorts, which aired on Nickelodeon between other shows from 2002 to 2005. Arguably the most infamous of these shorts was "Crispy Hand." In this short, Josh attempts to impress a goth girl (voiced by Nanalan' alum Ali Eisner) by inviting her on a tour of Mr. Meaty's kitchen.
